Decentralize
your power.

Members' capital builds Photon's plants, and the energy they generate becomes credit on the power bill of those who consume it. No rooftop work, regulated by Law 14.300.

Who we are

Clean, cooperative and smart energy.

Mission

Photon invests in, builds and operates solar plants to generate clean, affordable energy through the cooperative model. We combine financial strength with a smart digital experience, offering innovative solutions and software that make the customer's relationship with energy simple.

Vision

To lead the smart energy transition, redefining society's relationship with energy through technology, sustainability and cooperation.

Our values

  • Technical Excellence and Rigor

Our infrastructure is our foundation. We build, operate and maintain our plants to the highest engineering and safety standards, ensuring stable, lasting energy generation.

  • End-to-End Efficiency

We optimize every resource, from the solar panel to the code of our software. We believe true sustainability only happens when combined with lean operations and financial viability.

  • Intelligence That Simplifies

Technology only makes sense if it improves people's lives. We design our products and interfaces with an absolute focus on user experience, making energy management simple, intuitive and accessible.

  • Proof by Results

We don't stop at green talk. We work with our own resources and deliver for real. Our model proves, in practice and in numbers, that our ecosystem works and creates tangible value for our members.

One cooperative, two roles.

Every member is an investor. Those who also consume use the energy from the cooperative's plants as credit on their own power bill.

Investor member

You pay in share capital to Photon, and all of that capital becomes plants, built at cost price in investment cycles. The plant belongs to the cooperative: you co-own the cooperative, with a vote in the general assembly.

Capital may be remunerated within the limits of the law and the bylaws.

Consumer member

Investors have priority to use the plants' energy as the cooperative's service. The discount is the same for everyone, — on the energy compensated, whatever the number of quotas.

Energy credits

Each compensated kWh offsets your consumption. Any surplus is kept for up to 60 months.

Full compliance

We operate under Law 14.300/2022, ANEEL's regulations and Law 5.764/71 on cooperatives.

Plants built by the members.

All of Photon's capital becomes plants. Each project is an investment cycle that builds a plant at cost price, with no margin, and the plant belongs to the cooperative. The figures come straight from the capital register and the monitoring.

From the plant to your bill, as credits.

  1. The plant generates

Solar energy goes into the utility's grid.

  2. Monthly compensation
  3. You consume

The credit offsets the kWh of your consumer unit.

Capital register
Every member's quotas, consolidated in a single register and backed by the plants they built.

Everything auditable, nothing hidden.

  • Your bill shows the credits

The utility reports the compensated kWh on the power bill itself.

  • The dashboard shows the generation

In the member's dashboard you follow the plant, the credits and the payments.

  • The cooperative's accounts are open

Annual general assemblies and accountability to every member.

The cooperative grows in cycles.

Each new plant is born from a capitalization cycle: a capital goal, a deadline and a project. That's how Photon grows without changing its structure for every plant.

  1. Paying in

Members pay in share capital for the cycle, which has a fundraising goal and deadline.

  2. Goal reached

The cycle activates on the day it reaches its goal. That date applies to every member in the cycle.

  3. 6-month grace period

The cooperative buys the equipment, builds, connects and gets the plant approved.

  4. Plant in operation

The plant joins the cooperative's assets, not each member's.

  5. Shared generation

The energy becomes credit on consumer members' power bills.

If the goal isn't reached in time, the cycle closes and the amounts are refunded under the bylaws and the cycle rules.

See the projects

Two returns, two natures.

What your capital earns and what the cooperative returns from its operations are different things, and Photon keeps them apart.

On the capital paid in

Capital remuneration

Share capital may be remunerated under the bylaws and the law, up to 12% a year. It isn't guaranteed and doesn't depend on how much you consume.

On the operations

Surplus (sobras)

The positive result of operations, after the legal allocations, is shared according to each member's participation and approved by the general assembly. It can arrive as a credit on your bill.

Compliance with Law 14.300

Everything Photon does is written in law. Credit compensation is regulated, and the cooperative is accountable to its members.

Legal framework

Law 14.300/2022 regulates distributed generation and credit compensation between consumer units.

ANEEL

We follow ANEEL's resolutions on connection, metering and energy compensation.

Cooperative structure

Photon is a cooperative (Law 5.764/71): every member co-owns the cooperative and votes in the general assembly.

Legal certainty

Digitally signed contracts, public bylaws and auditable accounts.

Three steps to your first credit.

All online, no technical visit, no change of utility.
